Installation and Updates

Nova 1.0 supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 on 64-bit PCs. The current public installer is built for Windows because Nova needs reliable access to desktop actions, files, microphone permissions and app launching. macOS and Linux are planned after the Windows release has enough real usage data, support feedback and stability evidence.

Nova is newly released and may show a Microsoft SmartScreen warning while publisher reputation is being built. Download only from novaosconsulting.com, confirm the file name is NovaAI-Setup-1.0.0.exe, and compare the SHA-256 checksum from the Download Center. If the checksum does not match, do not run the installer.

Nova updates are published through the official Nova OS Consulting download flow. The installer downloads the current package, verifies its SHA-256 checksum, and installs the verified files into Program Files. If an update fails or your connection drops, run the latest setup app again from the Download Center. Your account and local settings are designed to remain in place during reinstall.

Accounts, Licensing and Billing

No. You can use Nova's local desktop features without signing in. An account is used when you want Nova Cloud features, subscription activation, license management, usage limits, billing state and preference sync. If sign-in is unavailable, Nova should still keep offline workflows available.

Subscriptions unlock higher cloud usage and plan-specific limits while keeping offline features available. Payments are processed through the billing provider shown at checkout. Plans renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal, and the exact billing, cancellation and refund terms are covered in the Terms and Refund Policy.

Yes. Eligible first subscription purchases can request a refund within 7 days. When asking for a refund, include the email used for checkout, approximate purchase time, plan name, and a short reason so the request can be matched to the payment record. See the Refund Policy for the exact terms.

Privacy and AI Features

Yes. Desktop actions, file handling, app launching and many local workflows can work offline. Features that require current internet information or large model reasoning, such as web search, cloud reasoning and image generation, need internet access and Nova Cloud availability.

Nova is designed local-first. Cloud features send only the content required for the task you request, such as a selected document section or prompt. The privacy policy explains that data is handled to provide and secure the feature, not sold, not used for advertising profiles, and not treated as a general public dataset.

No. Voice is off by default. If you enable wake-word listening, the listening step happens on your device. You can turn voice off in Nova, revoke microphone permission in Windows settings, or continue using text commands. Nova's document, file and desktop workflows do not require microphone access.

Support

Start with Troubleshooting for common installation, sign-in, microphone, update and download issues. If you still need help, use the Contact page or email support with your Nova version, Windows version, the task you were trying to complete, and a screenshot or screen recording if available.

Include the exact command you gave Nova, what you expected, what actually happened, the file, app or website involved, whether the issue repeats after restarting Nova, and whether it happens offline or only with cloud features. Clear reproduction steps are the fastest path to a fix.
