Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for the issues people hit most during install and first run.
Installer blocked by Windows
If SmartScreen appears, click More info, confirm the publisher reads Nova OS Consulting, then choose Run anyway. This happens for newly released signed apps until they build reputation.
Antivirus warning
Some antivirus tools quarantine unfamiliar apps. Verify the SHA-256 checksum on the download page, then restore the file or add an exception only if the checksum matches.
Can’t sign in
Sign-in is optional. If it fails, check your connection or continue without an account - Nova’s local features work fully offline, and you can sign in later from Settings.
Microphone unavailable
Grant access under Windows Settings → Privacy → Microphone and allow Nova. Voice is off by default; everything else works without it.
Update failed
Updates resume automatically. If one fails, restart Nova, or download and run the latest setup app again - your settings are preserved.
